Download & Install Artemis
Follow the steps below to install and run it. Read them first, then download — so you don’t get stuck at the system block.
Requirements
- macOS 11 (Big Sur) or later.
- Works on both Intel and Apple Silicon. On Apple Silicon, if prompted to install Rosetta, click “Install”.
- About 600MB of free disk space.
Why macOS blocks the first launch
Artemis is not yet Apple-notarized (the developer signature is being set up). macOS blocks any un-notarized app with “cannot verify the developer” or “is damaged and should be moved to the Trash.” This is the system’s default handling for un-notarized apps, not a problem with the file. Clear it once using Step 3 — after that it opens normally with a double-click.
Install steps
Open “Terminal”, paste the line below and press Return, then double-click Artemis normally:
xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/Artemis.appIn “Applications”, right-click (or Control-click) Artemis → choose “Open” → click “Open” again in the dialog.
Try to open it once (it gets blocked), then go to “System Settings → Privacy & Security”, scroll to the bottom, find “Artemis was blocked”, click “Open Anyway”, and enter your password.
